Welcome to 2026 – The Year of Collective Care: Retreat Opportunities!

Welcome to 2026!

I am declaring this year to be one of Collective Care. The pace of change, the challenge of complexity and uncertainty, the polycrisis before us… you name your stressor. They are taking their toll on our individual and collective well-being. We all have enough to consider, on top of our jobs, to have us feeling depleted, or on the verge of burnout – even in the context of a new year beginning.

We are finding, particularly with our clients in leadership roles, and those who work in fields that care for people and the planet, that there is a need to find more sustainable self-care practices, not only to be more productive/optimally effective, but to find the fun, and bring more joy back in their work and lives.

We are all about deep, sustainable change, not quick or superficial fixes. As you reset in the new year, if you want to move forward differently in how you balance your own self-care needs with caring for your clients or your community, please join us for one or more retreats. You can’t lead people to a place that you don’t embody yourself. Collective Care starts with leaders taking better care of themselves and creating cultures of care in their organizations.

To support leaders in exercising more self-care, we have retreat offerings coming up. Eavesdrop on my colleague, Sarah DeWitt, and me, talking about the benefits of one of these retreat experiences called Seasons of Need: Regenerating Ourselves and Our Planet™.

We’ve designed this program especially for those of us who identify as “caring achievers” - high-performing leaders in caring professions - whether that’s caring for others (coaches, therapists, doctors, nurses), caring for communities (activists, ministers, teachers), or caring for the planet (climate, conservation, and sustainability leaders). We pour our hearts and souls into our work and are often left feeling depleted and burnt out if we don’t learn how to replenish ourselves on a regular basis.

The first opportunity to engage with this program is next month, on February 28 and March 1, for a two-day virtual workshop full of learning, community, and regenerative self-care practices. We will feed you the experience in 90-minute increments with plenty of breaks to gently reflect, digest, and integrate.
