When Self-Care Isn’t Selfish - It’s Leadership

We live in a time of constant demand.

Deadlines. Decisions. Divisiveness.
Caregiving. Change. Complexity.

Many of the leaders and caregivers I work with are deeply committed people. They show up. They serve. They hold space. They carry responsibility — often quietly.

And yet, when it comes to themselves, self-care can feel indulgent. Optional. Even selfish.

But here’s the truth:

Self-care is not a withdrawal from responsibility.
It is what makes responsible leadership sustainable.

When you are depleted:

Your nervous system narrows.

  • Your thinking becomes reactive.

  • Your empathy shortens.

  • Your clarity blurs.

When you are nourished:

  • You respond rather than react.

  • You set clean boundaries.

  • You access creativity.

  • You model steadiness for others.

This is why I created A Fuller Cup™.

Not as a spa day.
Not as performance optimization.
But as intentional inner work.

In a small, carefully held community at Trinity Retreat Center in West Cornwall, CT, we explore what it means to:

  • Be embodied — aware of your energy and nervous system

  • Be authentic — attuned to your inner landscape

  • Be on purpose — aligned with what truly matters

  • Be empowered — connected while holding healthy boundaries

  • Create community — modeling care as shared leadership

This is nourishment that changes how you live and lead.

If you feel stretched thin…
If you are carrying more than most people realize…
If something in you knows it’s time to refill —

There are a few remaining spots.

I would be honored to welcome you.

And if the retreat timing isn’t right, you can begin with the A Fuller Cup™ Assessment and a private consultation.

Because caring for yourself isn’t selfish.

It is how we create a more grounded, humane, and sustainable world.
